    Can you pay tariff or tax on behalf of me?

    We offer our customers two shipping options: Standard Free Shipping and Commercial Courier Services (including DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc.). Here are important details regarding VAT and tariffs for these options:

    Standard Free Shipping: This service allows us to handle the Value Added Tax (VAT) on your behalf, meaning the purchase price you pay already includes the applicable VAT. Based on our experience, orders shipped via Standard Free Shipping typically incur fewer additional customs duties. However, we cannot guarantee that all orders will be free from tariffs. Please note that any tariffs incurred during customs clearance will be the responsibility of the recipient.

    Commercial Courier Services: For this option, we will also bear the VAT costs. However, due to the inability to prepay these costs, you may be required to pay the VAT upfront at the time of delivery. Should this occur, you can seek reimbursement from us by providing the VAT receipt. It's important to note that tariffs are not covered by us and, if incurred, will be the customer's responsibility.

    Who is responsible for taxes and customs if I want to return my jewelry?
    Light Stone is not responsible for returning duties and taxes. To receive a refund for your duties and taxes paid on a returned order, you will need to go through your local customs office as this fee is paid to the country of import.

    Where is your shop? Can I buy your products in a offline store?

    We are base in Shanghai, China. Currently, we only provide online shopping.

    However, we hope you will see our shop opening soon in your country!

    What are the difference between 925 Silver & Sterling silver &999 Silver?
    925 Silver and sterling silver are the same things with different names: Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% by weight of silver and 7.5% by weight of other metals, usually copper. The sterling silver standard has a minimum millesimal fineness of 925.

    999 Silver or Fine Silver: Silver that contains more than 99.9% by weight of silver. It is usually consider as pure silver.

    925 Silver is less white and more hard than 999 Silver. 999 Silver is quite soft and flexible, which make it fit better for jewelry that need more complicated shapes. 
    Are your stones natural ones? I heard natural stones are more expensive.

    We will put artificial  or man made   description if the main stone is not a natural one.

    Please kindly understand, natural stone doesn't mean more expensive price. For example natural jade price can range from several cents to millions USD (or even more expensive) depends on the quality, color, origin, size, and many other elements. Only those jade with very high quality, rarity will be categorized as gems. 


    The stones we have chosen are mostly with beauties but reasonable price for daily wear jewelry. 

    Are your stones treated?

    We will say honestly: yes, part of them.

    Most chalcedonies are treated to improve/change the color.

    For jade, we prefer to keep the nature color as it is.

    Who are the designers of your jewelry?

    We design by ourselves and we work with different other designers and suppliers for sourcing the jewelry.

    They could be local crafters, independent designers, factories who are focusing on the products with Chinese cultural elements that we love and we believe you will love too.

    Assurance of quality, beauty, and cultural elements are behind every product.

    What is your return and exchange policy?

    WE PROMISE:

    Returns/Exchanges:

    • You can return or exchange your jewelry within 60 days of receipt.
    • We will issue a full refund for items returned.

    Order Cancellation:

    • For Non Pre-sale/Pre-order Products:
      • Orders are typically shipped within 1-2 business days.
      • Orders cannot be canceled once they have been shipped.
      • If your package has not been shipped and you wish to cancel your order, we will issue a refund and process the cancellation. Please email service@lightstone-jewellery.com for such requests.
    • For Pre-sale/Pre-order Products:
      • Pre-sale/Pre-order products take approximately 30 days for production before shipment.
      • Orders cannot be canceled 3 days after payment.
      • Please note that pre-sale/pre-order items are made to order, and production cannot be halted 3 days after payment.

    Shipment Fee for Returns:

    • Unopened Package Refusal:
      • In most countries where we ship, if you refuse to sign for and do not accept delivery of an unopened package, it will be returned to China by the logistics company, and you will not need to pay extra shipment cost. We will bear the return shipping fee in this case.

    What kind of payment do you accept?

    We accept:

    • Credit Card (through the secured channels of PayPal or Stripe).
    • PayPal.
    • Online Banking Transfer through the Sofort channel. Available in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, and Switzerland. It may take several hours or days to confirm the payment from the bank's side.
    • Multibanco for Portugal, which enables you to use an ATM or online transfer to make the payment. It may take several hours or days to confirm the payment from the bank's side.
    • COD (Cash on Delivery): Available in China Mainland.

    Can I cancel after payment?

    Can I pay by cash on deliver (COD)?

    We only accept cash on deliver in within mainland China.

    I have received a email confirming my order, but I haven't paid!

    You will usually receive two emails after placing a order. 

    1. To confirm the order

    2. To confirm the payment

    We will only start the shipment procedure after your payment is confirmed. So please do not forget the payment!

    I paid already and money was deducted from my bank account, but it showed payment failed . What should I do?

    This rarely happen. However, it did occur in our past experiences, mainly because of temporary technical issue at bank side.

    Please don't be panic, as long as the payment is confirmed and received by Light Stone, we will confirm the order and send out your jewelry.

    For products listed on our website, they are all standard products.

    The actual delivery time can vary due to various reasons. Delivery delays can be caused by events beyond the control of Light Stone and couriers, e.g., Covid, weather events, local disruptions like public holidays, customs, or strikes.

If your shipment has not arrived within 10 days after the expected delivery time, please contact us. Light Stone can initiate an investigation for lost items with our partner couriers.

    How long will It take to get my package?


    We provide two shipping methods:

    1. Standard Free Shipping Countries

    For the countries listed below, we provide free shipping, which typically takes 2-4 weeks to arrive:

    For free shipping destinations, you can opt for Express service by paying an additional fee. The cost of Medium/Fast Express shipping will be displayed at checkout based on your location. 

    For non-free shipping countries, we use Fast Express to deliver your parcel, and the shipping price will be available at checkout.

    Delivery via Express takes about 7 working days to most parts of the world, with DHL and UPS being the most commonly used carriers. The service will be selected based on your location.

    Dispatch Speed

    24-48 Hours to Dispatch: Your package will be sent within 24-48 hours after we receive your order payment. You will receive an email with a tracking number once your package is dispatched.

    Exception for Pre-order/Pre-sale Products: For pre-order/pre-sale products, there is a 30-day waiting period before shipment. However, we offer a good discount for such products.


    When will my tracking information appear?
    Normally, you should see tracking events on the Light Stone website under Tracking Order within 24-60 hours after receiving the confirmation email from us. It can take up to 48 hours for information to update because the first event is created once the shipment is officially processed by the courier. The information updating time may vary due to weekends or holidays, so please don't panic if it doesn't appear immediately.

    The Light Stone team closely monitors and communicates with the courier before the first event is created. If you haven't seen tracking information after 60 hours, please feel free to contact us at service@lightstone-jewellery.com, and we will assist you promptly.
    Why is my shipping status unchanged?

    For most shipments and countries, couriers can provide only milestone tracking, which means it may take some time before a new tracking event is displayed. Your package continues to travel to its destination despite the time between the tracking events. Depending on the destination, it could also take time to arrive in the destination country due to the distance and transit time of the selected service.

    Your shipment might also experience delays. Delivery delays can be caused by events beyond the control of Light Stone and the couriers, such as weather events, local disruptions like public holidays, customs delays, or strikes. If your shipment has not arrived within 10 days after the expected delivery time, please kindly contact us. Light Stone can initiate an investigation for lost items with our partner couriers.

    Please also note that some packages may only have limited tracking events in the country of origin and no tracking events in the destination country.

    Oh no! Trust us, we are more anxious than you are when encountering delays!

If your shipment has not arrived within 10 days after the expected delivery time, please kindly contact us. Light Stone can initiate an investigation for lost items with our partner couriers.

    Please be cautious during the following seasons of busy mail traffic:

    - End of September to the beginning of October: Chinese National Holidays may cause a possible slight delay in package processing in China.

    - November 11th to Mid-November: Small delays may occur due to the 11.11 Shipping Festival, with more international orders happening during the festival.

    - Black Friday to New Year: From the end of November to the beginning of the next year. This is the worst season for delivery. The average delivery time is 5-15 days longer than other times of the year. We do not recommend any urgent purchases during this season.
    What if I never received my package?

    Lost packages rarely happen as the couriers Light Stone has chosen are quite secure.

    If the delivery time is much longer than you expected, please contact us at: service@lightstone-jewellery.com.

    We will:

    1. First, confirm whether the package is heavily delayed or lost.

    2. If it is confirmed as lost, based on your preference, we will either a. send you a new one; or b. issue a full refund.
